Lifeguards on Duty

Safety is a top priority at Youghall Beach. Starting June 28, 2026, certified lifeguards are on duty every day from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., watching over a clearly identified, easily accessible swimming zone so everyone can enjoy the water with peace of mind. Swimming is not permitted near the channel, and fishing is not allowed within the supervised swimming zone.

Daily Groomed Sand

Feel the difference underfoot - Youghall Beach boasts some of the softest sand in Northern New Brunswick. Every morning, City of Bathurst crews run a specialized beach cleaner that removes seaweed, driftwood, rocks, and other small debris, leaving behind clean, pristine sand ready for you to enjoy.

Planning a full day by the sea? Youghall Beach is equipped with public washrooms and warm-water showers to keep you comfortable throughout your visit.

Accessibility is also a priority: the beach includes a wheelchair-accessible entrance near the lifeguard-supervised area, plus two floating beach wheelchairs available at no cost. To arrange one, just ask a lifeguard on duty when you arrive.
