POLICE - Arrests made in armed robbery

On April 15th, 2020, patrol members of the Bathurst Police Force, along with the assistance of the Bathurst RCMP Canine Unit, responded to an armed robbery complaint, which occurred at the UNI Coopération Financière branch located at 1215 St. Peter Avenue, Bathurst, New Brunswick.

Subsequently, Stephen Sewell, 28 year-old male, and a young person under the age of 18 were arrested.

With the investigation progressing, the Bathurst Police Force opposed the release of Mr. Sewell and the young offender whom were later charged with several offences. 

The investigation is ongoing and the case is presently before the Courts.

No further comment will be issued at this time.
