Reminder: Vanier Boulevard Closure Remains in Effect

The City of Bathurst reminds residents and motorists that Vanier Boulevard remains closed to vehicle traffic at the bridge over the CN rail line near Sunset Drive while repairs to the pedestrian bridge continue.
The closure began on October 9 and is expected to remain in place through early November, weather permitting.
Traffic and detour information
- Pedestrian access remains open.
- A signed detour is in place via Highway 11/Ryan Avenue and St. Anne Street.
- Traffic at the intersection of St. Anne Street and Evangeline Drive has been temporarily reduced to a single lane in each direction to simplify traffic flow during the detour. Motorists should treat the intersection as a normal four-way stop and follow posted signage.
Motorists are reminded to allow extra travel time and use caution in the area, particularly when approaching the modified intersection.
