Bridge Street Bridge – Temporary Full Closure

As reconstruction work continues on Bridge Street and Miramichi Avenue, the Bridge Street bridge will be fully closed to traffic from September 14 to September 25.

The closure will remain in place 24 hours a day while crews complete an important phase of the ongoing reconstruction work. Motorists will not be able to cross the bridge during this time.

Detours

Detours will be clearly marked throughout the area, with signage directing motorists toward alternate routes, including Highway 11.

Motorists are asked to follow all posted detour signage, plan ahead and allow additional time for their travels.

Closure: September 14–25

This closure is part of the ongoing Bridge Street and Miramichi Avenue reconstruction project, which includes the full reconstruction of approximately 1.1 kilometres of roadway, water and sewer infrastructure.
