The Bathurst Police Force is a proud organization of men and women who have been providing policing services to the community of Bathurst for the past 100 years.
The City of Bathurst Fire Department consists of highly dedicated personnel, and the department strives to provide the greatest level of service in preventing fires, protecting property, and assisting the public on any matters that arise.
The Engineering and Public Works department is in charge of maintenance and oversees many municipal services including water, road maintenance, traffic, snow clearing and hydrants.
On January 1, 2023, the provincial government's local governance reform was officially enacted, the result of which is a new structure consisting of 77 local governments and 12 rural districts.
The City of Bathurst’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department’s overall mission is to foster an active lifestyle for residents and visitors by providing recreational opportunities for the young and young at heart.
The K.C. Irving Regional Centre was first opened in 1995 and has hosted many great events, including NHL hockey, trade shows, major musical and cultural events. It is the sports and entertainment centre of the Chaleur region.
The Corporate Communications department promotes effective two-way communication with City employees, citizens and community stakeholders.
