Public safety reminder — Extreme wildfire risk and low water levels
August 14, 2025
The risk of wildfires across our region remains extreme, with dry and dangerous conditions that could easily spark new fires. Additionally, we're seeing low water levels in Middle River and Carters Brook due to the extreme heat and abnormally low rainfall.
With the possibility of gatherings and celebrations ahead this weekend, we urge everyone to stay vigilant and stay informed.
Stay Vigilant
- Burn Ban in Effect – A province-wide burn ban remains in place. Avoid any activities that could start a fire. Let emergency responders focus on emergencies.
- Celebrate Safely – During gatherings or events this weekend, follow all safety rules and recommendations.
- Protect the Water Supply – Avoid unnecessary water use to reduce pressure on our municipal water supply. All New Brunswickers are encouraged to conserve water.
