How to read your Water and Sewer Service invoice
As of Friday November 5, 2021, the City of Bathurst is issuing its Water and Sewer invoices in a new format. This new invoice format offers City of Bathurst Water and Sewer clients a more intuitive way to read and understand their billing information.
Clients should take note of the following:
FIRST FOUR ITEMS IN “AMOUNT DUE” SECTION
These four lines reflect the past billing information carried over to the present invoice. PLEASE NOTE that the first invoice received in the new format will not have any information as our billing system will begin gathering billing information with the first newly formatted invoice.
AVERAGE DAILY COST
This field shows the average daily cost for Water and Sewer services.
YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER
Account numbers have been modified. For clients using online payment options, they need to update their account information with the new account number.
YOUR HISTORIC USAGE
The new Historic Usage Chart feature allow clients to see monthly water usage comparisons to the previous year.
PAYMENT RETURN SLIP
The Payment Return Slip now contains a QR Code, a feature that ensures the payment is assigned to the proper account. For this, it is important for clients to insert the Payment Return Slip with mailed invoices, or to bring their slip when going to City Hall to pay their bills.
