Vanier Boulevard Closure Begins October 7

September 29, 2026

Starting Wednesday, October 7, Vanier Boulevard will be closed to vehicle traffic at the bridge over the CN rail line near Sunset Drive while repairs are completed on the pedestrian bridge.

The closure is expected to remain in place through early November, weather permitting. Pedestrian access will remain open, and a signed detour for vehicles will be in place via Highway 11/Ryan Ave. and St. Anne Street.

Motorists should plan ahead, allow additional travel time and expect increased traffic in the surrounding area during the closure.
