BATHURST CITY COUNCIL MOTION ON BY-LAW No. 2026-07

A By-Law to Amend By-Law No. 2024-01 Entitled "A By-Law Respecting Water and Sewer Services and Charges in the City of Bathurst"

At the Regular Public Meeting of Bathurst City Council on Monday, July 20, 2026, Council voted on the first reading of a motion to approve proposed By-law No. 2026-07 entitled “A By-Law to Amend By-Law No. 2024-01 Entitled "A By-Law Respecting Water and Sewer Services and Charges in the City of Bathurst"”.

The purpose of this By-Law amendment is to establish requirements for the separation and metering of commercial water services in multi-use buildings, provide for the flat-rate billing of residential units within such buildings, and clarify the responsibilities of property owners for compliance and associated cost.
