May 17th is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia.

The City of Bathurst recognizes this event in our commitment to celebrate diversity and inclusivity in our community and region, by raising the 2SLGBTQI+ flag at City Hall.

For the occasion, several young people, allies and members of the community gathered to raise awareness, highlight the challenges that 2SLGBTQI+ people continue to face across the world, and to promote inclusive and safe living environments.

The theme of this year's celebration is “No one left behind: equality, freedom, and justice for all”
