BOIL ORDER ADVISORY - ISSUED THURSDAY MARCH 14, 2024
  March 14, 2024

Saturday, March 16 @ 1:30 PM : As of this moment, the boil order advisory is NO LONGER IN EFFECT for the areas previously identified.
Thank you for patience and cooperation during this process.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF WEST AND NORTH BATHURST

The City of Bathurst informs residents of West Bathurst of a sudden pressure drop in the water distribution system serving the West and North sections of the City. This was caused by a mechanical failure with components of our pumping system. Crews are presently working on the issue.

Water pressure has been stabilized. However, residents may see turbidity in the water. It is advised to refrain from washing laundry and to periodically check your water quality by running COLD WATER for 10-15 minutes to verify if the water has cleared up.

Because of the sudden drop in water pressure, a BOIL ORDER ADVISORY will be in effect until further notice and water destined for consumption will need to be held at a rolling boil for 1 minute.

IMPACTED AREAS

  • St. Peter Avenue, west of Veterans Bridge
  • College Street, University Avenue area
  • Ste Anne Street area
  • All areas west and north of Ste Anne Street

The City of Bathurst regrets any inconvenience this may cause.

Rest assured that, as soon as we receive the all-clear from the Provincial Department of Health, we will happily let you know via our Facebook page, Website, and local Radio announcements.
