NOTICE OF WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORK – STE ANNE STREET
The City of Bathurst informs motorists of planned water line system work scheduled for Ste Anne Street on MONDAY JUNE 12, 2023.
Work crews will be digging a trench across Ste Anne Street, near the K.C. Irving Regional Centre to place water conduits and valves. This is part of an important water system infrastructure project to build a Water Booster Station on Ste Anne Street. When completed, this booster station will improve and stabilize water pressure for the West Bathurst area (including Parkwood Heights and beyond).
The work will begin early in the early morning on Monday June 12th and is expected to be completed in the late evening. TRAFFIC ON STE ANNE STREET WILL BE LIMITED TO A SINGLE LANE ONLY. Traffic control crews will be active on site.
Motorists are advised to expect strong delays in circulation, especially during peak times. It is recommended to plan alternate routes in and out of the city, such as using Highway 11 exits for Vanier Boulevard or King Avenue.
The City of Bathurst regrets any inconvenience and thanks the population for its understanding, as we continue our efforts to improve the City’s water distribution system.
