Public Notice Under section 111 of the Community Planning Act
Notice is hereby given that Bathurst City Council intends to consider amendments to By-Law 2008-01 entitled “The City of Bathurst Zoning By-Law” as follow:
Modify certain provisions of the zoning by-law to
- address some inconsistencies,
- to grant additional approval authority to the Director of Planning to the extent that the Community Planning Act permits,
- to implement new development standards based on the concept of gentle density including Accessory Dwelling Units, and
- To revise certain development standards applicable to residential and commercial zones in order to allow a wider range of residential uses.
Interested parties may examine the proposed amendments at the Bathurst City Hall at the address mentioned below from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Written objections must be received by the City Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Written objections to the proposed amendments will be considered at a meeting which will be held in the Council Chambers of the City of Bathurst on November 18, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. Anyone wishing to defend or oppose these objections can do so at this time and place.
