HotSpot parking now available in Bathurst
The City of Bathurst has joined forces with Fredericton-based HotSpot Technology to integrate its mobile app parking payment service for Bathurst downtown parking areas. HotSpot Parking will allow users to pay for parking and manage their parking time by using their mobile phones. Motorists can now access three City parking lots in the downtown core while paying through the HotSpot parking mobile payment app, making the process as simple and convenient as possible for motorists. The use of the mobile app costs $2.00 monthly or $20 annually and can also be used throughout all major centres in the three Maritime provinces. “The use of the HotSpot mobile app will make it hassle-free for users accessing these parking areas. We view that as a positive element for people heading downtown for business or leisure” said Interim City Manager Todd Pettigrew. The three parking areas now activated with the HotSpot mobile app are: Harborview Boulevard parking area (behind Bank of Montreal); Cunard Street Parking area (next to Federal building parking area); George Street parking area. A fourth parking area, located on Main street, will be activated through the HotSpot app on Monday September 18th with hourly rates.
