STORM SEWER INSTALLATION ON DOUGLAS, ST. GEORGE

The City of Bathurst continues its Storm Sewer Installation Program for the summer of 2023.

STARTING ON THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 21st, crews will begin installation work on the storm sewer infrastructure on SECTIONS OF DOUGLAS AVENUE AND ST. GEORGE STREET, as identified on the map.

TRAFFIC DETOUR

During this project, motorists accessing the Downtown area from St. Peter Avenue or Queen Street will need to divert via Harborview Boulevard, Main Street and King Street.

Motorists wanting to leave the Downtown area, heading north, will need to divert through Murray Avenue, or via King Avenue and Main Street.

Motorists accessing Burns Drive (one-way), will need to turn right on St. Andrew street to access King Avenue of Murray Avenue to leave the Downtown area heading northbound.

This project is expected to be complete in approximately three weeks.

The City of Bathurst regrets any inconvenience and thanks motorists for their cooperation and understanding.
