Bathurst to join age friendly communities
October 17th, 2017
Bathurst joins other age friendly communities in the efforts to improve all aspects of senior life. The goal is not to make Bathurst a retirement city, but optimising the infrastructures and services to improve wellness for senior citizens. It’s about aiming to give a sense of security and inclusion and assisting the seniors to keep active physically and socially.
Part of the plan to achieve our goals is to conduct a survey in Bathurst this October in order to determine potential areas for improvements. This information will be gathered with the help of a computer based survey and facilitated groups.
We strongly urge seniors (55 and over) to participate and fill out the survey and the family members or friends to help out if needed, in order to get the most information possible to better focus our interventions afterwards.
