Brief biographical note on Rod Cumberland:Born in Bathurst, and grew up in St. Stephen. Graduated with BScF in Forestry and Wildlife management; worked in Calgary, Alberta before coming home and working at DNR. Provincial Fur biologist for 7 years during big decline in northern deer, and during northern deer season closure, Provincial deer biologist for 15 years during last push to grow the NB deer herd, Flew province annually surveying moose and deer.
